This RCBD experiments were conducted over two seasons in 2016 and 2017, under greenhouse conditions, at the Allogamous Plant Breeding Laboratory, “Luiz de Queiroz” College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo, Brazil (Vidotti et al. 2019). The researchers used three replications per season and two treatments (N stress for control and N stress plus A. brasilense inoculation). The dataset presented here consists of adjusted means for one of the two treatments. For each hybrid (indiv), we have the parental information (dam and sire), and the means for five response variables, namely root dry mass (rdm), root volume (rv), root average diameter (rad), specific root length (srl), and specific root surface area (srsa).
