D013. Split-split-plot design of two apple cultivars
The data file can be downloaded here:
Split-split-plot experiment of apple trees with different spacing (spacing
), rootstock (stock
), and cultivars (gen
). The yield (yield
) of apple in kg/tree was recorded over a 4 years period. The design of the experiment included 5 blocks (rep
) of 3 rows (row
). In each rep there were 3 different tree spacing (note that in several instance, one type of spacing spanned across 2 rows). For each spacing level there were 4 types of rootstock, and finally, each type of rootstock had 2 different varieties (Archbold et al. 1987).
