ASReml-R Cookbook
Welcome
Welcome to the ASReml-R Cookbook. Within this material, you will find a collection of examples, referred to as recipes, and insights illustrating the available commands and analyses that can be performed using ASReml-R 4.2. This web page is a dynamic platform generated using Quarto directly from R. We will regularly introduce new content in response to user queries, contributions from diverse fields, the development of new commands or discovery of new tricks for our software. While we aim to keep the theoretical material concise, you will find explanations here and there throughout the material.
For this ASReml-R Cookbook we aimed to use a variety of publicly available datasets to illustrate the different functionalities. We are presenting and analyzing an array of real-life experiments from diverse fields of research such as medicine, pharmacology, animal and plant science, animal and plant breeding, engineering, and more. Our hope is that you will find examples that will reflect your own analytical needs.
As we consider this ASReml-R Cookbook a dynamic source, we genuinely welcome your feedback to improve its usefulness. Therefore, please feel free to share your comments and suggestions using the feedback button.
The original concept of the ASReml-R Cookbook was inspired by Dr. Luis Apiolaza and his blog. His resource has proven to be highly valuable to numerous ASReml and ASReml-R users over time, motivating us to update and extend it here. If you would like to see the original content, click here.
